We're back!

Sorry we've been gone but due to an ice storm we haven't been able to get online. Even elf magic is no match for the forces of Mother Nature! We've still been up to plenty of mischief and will catch up all in one post.

Due to the ice storm we decided to bring the girls some holiday games to play just in case they had some free time. Little did we know just how much free time they would have. Of course Jeannie and I couldn't resist playing a few games of holiday yahtzee too!

The next night we were a little tired from all our mischief and things were a little hectic around the house because of the storm so we decided to take a little winters nap in a Santa hat under the tree.

After a nice little rest the night before Jeannie and were feeling pretty creative so we decided to make some snowflakes for decorations. We left enough materials so the girls could make some the next morning too!

Jeannie and I had been watching the girls play with the toy train. They liked to give their littlest pet shop animals rides around the Christmas tree. We thought it looked like so much fun we decided to give it a try. Yup, it sure was fun!

The dry erase board downstairs was looking a little drab so we decided to jazz it up a bit!

And in honor of the snow that has arrived today we brought the girls some Webkinz snowmen. They sure a soft and cuddly!

Mischief mission # 11

Jeannie and I were looking for entertainment again last night and found the Playstation 3 and the PSP. Being elves we spend most of our time making toys and only playing with them to test them. This time we got to play Spyro and Lego Indiana Jones as long as we wanted, that was so cool!

Mischief mission # 10

After our little campfire last night Jeannie and I were feeling kinda low key. We got out the crayons and paper and made some Christmas drawings.

Mischief mission # 9

Well it has been blustery cold outside but inside is nice and cozy. To make things even cozier Jeannie and I decided to have s'mores and cocoa. We even invited some Littlest Petshop friends to join us. A tealight made the perfect fire. We found graham crackers, mini marshmallows, and mini hershey bars. Toothpicks made great sticks for roasting the marshmallows. It was so fun!

Mischief mission #8

We are still missing the snow, but it sure did get cold outside last night! After poking around the kitchen we came across the canister of flour and well it sorta looks like snow...
Jeannie accidently knocked the whole canister over in her excitement and the flour went all over the counter. It didn't stick together like snow but we were able to make snow angels!

Reindeer Chow

Here's a ymmy holiday treat for your next holiday get together or to wrap pretty and give as a gift!

Reindeer Chow

3 cups Cheerios
3 cups Rice Chex
3 cups Corn Chex
12 to 14 oz. M&Ms (plain, NOT peanut)2 c. dry-roasted peanuts (or cashews)2 c. pretzel sticks 36 oz. white chocolate chips

In double-boiler, melt the white chocolate chips. Don't overheat the chocolate!
Mix melted chocolate with cereals, nuts, M&Ms and pretzels, stirring to coat.
Press onto wax paper; let cool overnight. Break into chunky pieces; store in an airtight container.

Mischief mission #7

We've missed playing in the snow as there isn't much here yet and there is nothing like a good snowball fight. Finding some cottonballs we thought these would be a good substitute. We rounded up some webkinz and had a nice little snowball fight under the Christmas tree!

Mischief Mission #6

This time Jeannie and I were wanting something exciting to do. We borrowed Kenzie's leopard print scarf that she uses for dress-up (She is such a fasionista) and decided it would make a great swing. We couldn't really decide where to hang it at first. I finally decided the ceiling fan would be a great place then we could give each other rides by turning on the fan! I had to talk Jeannie into it, her being afraid of heights and all, but when saw how much fun it was she wanted to try too. Of course as usual she was afraid to come down so we spent the rest of the night in the swing and the girls mom rescued us in the morning.

Mischief mission #5

Instead of providing our own entertainment we decided to watch some instead. We got into the Christmas movie collection and watched our two favorite movies Elf and The Happy Elf. We popped some popcorn and made ourselves cozy in front of the TV in a beanbag chair. With a little Elf magic we added a new movie to the collection-Shrek the Halls!

Mischief Mission #4

Jeannie and I were decided it would be funny to decorate the "kids tree" with underwear. This got a good laugh from everyone!

Mischief Mission #3

This time Jeannie and I were feeling a little creative so we pulled out some colored paper and made a paper chain. Jeannie thought it would look good on the mantle so she climbed up to hang it up then she remembered she was afraid of heights and was afraid to come down. I told her
I'd catch her but she wouldn't jump, so Kenzie rescued her once again.
While we were looking for craft supplies we found the glue gun and fixed the ornaments that got broken when the Christmas tree fell down. We also had a little chat with the cat who insists she is innocent and had nothing to do with the tree incident.

Mischief Mission #2

Being elves we love to play with toys and it's fun to just play without the pressure of deadlines!
The girls have a nice collection of legoes and we couldn't help but check them out. Of course it's hard to find just the right piece when they are in a box so we had to dump them out all over the living room floor. Jeannie made herself a cool little wagon and I pushed her all over the living room. Then I got busy making a little candycane house for the littlest pet shop animals. It was lots of fun!

Mischief Mission #1

Most of the house is looking pretty festive but the upstairs bathroom could use something extra, but what????
After checking out the cabinet under the bathroom sink we came up with lots of pretty hair ties and of course rolls of toilet paper! Jeannie got stuck in the toilet paper and was afraid to get down, luckily Kenzie rescued her in the morning!

Welcome!

We are two of Santa's elves-in-training visiting from the North Pole. Our names our Deenie(the big sister) and Jeannie(I'm the little sister!).
Elves-in- training get time off starting December 1st while the more experienced elves prepare for the big day. If we are lucky we get to come visit children until Christmas Eve when we go back to the North Pole with Santa. While we are here we keep an eye on the children for Santa to make sure they are behaving, and after spending 11 months out of the year learning how to be elves we tend to really enjoy our time off. It's a bit like spring break for us so we tend to cause a lot of mischief.

For the past several years we've come to visit two sweet little girls, Becca and Kenzie who enjoy our antics. This year we have jumped on the blogging bandwagon with a little help from their mom, to chronicle our mischief making. Check in everyday to see what we are up too!
